| Physics explore the
Physical World - why things do what they do. Aristotle began asking
such questions over 2,000 years ago and men are still asking them.
The more we learn, the more we realize how little we know. This is a
good place to start. |

General Physics
The vast majority of physics science kits and apparatus and
are subject specific and thus will be found in the sections that follow.
However there are a few science kits for both individuals and schools that provide a general introduction to physics.
They include two or more subjects, such as light, sound, and magnetism. You will find
them in this section. |
 |
Force & Motion
This is a comprehensive section encompassing
four fields of study:
1. Fluid Dynamics - pressure,
density, vacuum, displacement, etc.
2. Sound and Wave Theory -
frequency, wavelength, tuning forks, etc.
3.
Thermal Dynamics.- expansion,
contraction, conductivity
4.
Energy and Force - inertia, acceleration,
momentum, centrifugal force, gravity and more.
These fields are often interrelated so we recommend that you explore all
the pages. |

Light and Optics
Light is the visible portion of the electromagnetic
spectrum. What we consider "white light" is actually a mixture of
colors. This extensive department explores refraction, reflection,
color and even the speed of light. Loaded with science kits and
everything you need for experiments and science projects, such as prisms, lens, mirrors and more.
Related subjects include: magnifiers and other optical instruments
(see Technology), Microscopes (Science) and Telescopes (Universe). |
 |
Magnetism & Electricity
The Earth is a giant magnet, one surrounded by magnetic
fields as shown in the picture at left. In this department you will
find a broad array of science kits and every type of magnet you can
imagine - bar magnets, horseshoe magnets, discs and even flexible
magnets. Electromagnetic principals are explored, but see Technology
for electricity and electronics components and kits.

Simple Machines
Levers, pulleys, gears. wheels and inclined plane. Lots of
interesting areas to explore. A great area for science projects and
many things for the science fair. . |

books and posters, listed in our sister sites. They open in a
new window, so can you can freely move between them without losing
