Fun with Fluids

Beakman and Jack's Bubble Book
More than a book, it's an activity kit.  Includes a square bubble frame that you can use to create SQUARE BUBBLES!!!  "Impossible," you say?  They say it can be done.  The book shows how soap film shrinks using rubber bands and twisted coat hangers and much more.  Put your hand inside a bubble.  Watch a tiny speck of dust pop a bubble.  Paint a rainbow picture.  Create an enormous bubble maker and form recycled bubbles from soda-pop rings.  Lots of fun in an area that has not been previously explored in a science kit.

pinart4.gif (60446 bytes) When does a solid take on the properties of a fluid?   We maintain that these Pin Art Modules do just that.  Each pin is housed in its own shaft that keeps it perfectly aligned.  By placing the module over an object, the pins are pushed upward the same distance as the objects depth.  Thus the face of the pin has a fluid property.  Besides, we couldn't figure out how else to classify these things.  Great fun and entertainment, but can also be used to form patterns for craft projects and model making and other hobbies.
