Wave Analysis 2 - Advanced

Kundt's Apparatus (above)
For demonstrating formation of stationary longitudinal waves in air or gasses and for determining the wavelength and velocity of sound in metal rods, aid and other gases. Consists of a glass tube about 1,000mm long and 30mm in diameter, which is closed at one end with a cork. the tube rests on wedge supports securely fastened by coil spring and mounted on  a base  A 90cm long aluminum rod having a terminal disk of diameter slightly than that of the glass tube that acts as a piston in the glass tube. The aluminum rod is rigidly clamped in the middle, on a metal point.  Lycopodium power (not provided) can be used to show nodal points.
   No. SF324-KA.  Only $62.50
Resonance Apparatus (at left)
For experimental determination of the wave length and velocity of sound in air by locating resonance positions of an air column.
Consists of a graduated neutral glass tube (900 x 25mm), connected by rubber tubing and a pinch cock to an aluminum water reservoir securely mounted to a metal support.  The reservoir can be raised or lowered for adjusting the length of the air column.  A tuning fork is required (not provided).
   No. SF324-RA.  Only $42.95
Lycopodium Powder
For use with experiments in sound and sound waves.
   No. SF324-LP.  Only $14.95

Sound Wave Demonstrator
This kit includes a sound source, a sound monitor, a microphone, and a pair of speakers.  It is excellent for demonstration the properties of sound such as frequency, amplitude, reflection, resonance, interference and diffraction.  Comes with a comprehensive Activity Manual.  Some of the more advanced experiments require an oscilloscope (Not included).  .
  No. SF324-WD.  Only $219.95
Ripple Tank
This device demonstrates the generation, propagation, reflection, interference and diffraction of waves.  Comes with all accessories necessary for these experiments.  Requires 6V DC power and an overhead project (not included0 38 x 31 x 9cm. Instruction Manual included.
  No. SF324-TK.  Only $129.95.
