An Optical
Bench is a great way to conduct science experiments with light and optics.
Light is measured in "candlepower," thus one candle (one candlepower) is
used as the light source. A meter stick is mounted upright on
supports. The various device holders can be easily slid back and
forth on the meter stick, which provides precise measurements.
Distance is the key in to the inverse ratio of light law. But
distance also has an effect on lenses. The Bench Kit provides
everything you need to get started. |

screens measuring 10 x 12.5 cm with a millimeter scale on both
